  • Project is due at the beginning of class tomorrow, no exceptions!!

  • What is something humans could do to save the elephant population?

Objective:

  • Students will understand how the adaptation of camouflage helps species to survive

Activities:

  • Peppered moth simulation and questions (in google classroom)

Homework:

  • Complete and turn in peppered moth activity and questions if not done in class

  • Students will be able to explain the benefits of adaptations in animals.

  • Elephants under attack

Homework:

  • Complete Elephant activity if you did not complete it in class.

Tuesday May 7th, 2019

  • What is one difference between the Emperor Penguin and the Galapagos Penguin?

Objective:

  • Students will be able to explain how adaptations have helped penguins to survive in harsh conditions

  • Complete March of the Penguins

  • What are two ways the birds on the Galapagos islands have adapted to survive?

Objective:

  • Students will be able to explain how penguin adaptations are related to where they live.

Activities:

  • Some Like It Hot reading and comparison activity
  • Begin March of the Penguins if time allows

Homework:

  • Make sure Some Like It Hot reading and comparisons are done if you did not finish in class.
